baby it's cold outside

River Island always have an amazing AW collection and this year is no different. I love almost everything in store right now and theres more coming every single week! It's so hard to resist not going and spending all my wages when I'm near a store. These are just a few of my favourite bits in at the moment (if anybody has £531 they want to lend me for this little lot all donations would be gratefully recieved ;] )
I love this parka coat, it's so practical for winter and something that always seems to come back in fashion for festival season. I've tried on the tube pants last time I was in Leicester and they seem like good dupes for AA disco pants...theyre SO tight though, I had to go up 2 sizes!

What do you think of River Islands AW12 offerings? Will you be stocking up on your winter warmers here?

Weekend Wishlist

Louise Gray for Topshop Lipstick - I've gotten so lazy with my make-up lately, never applying primers etc and completly missing out my lips, so I'm trying to build up a collection of nice lipsticks to encourage me not to neglect them! Louise Gray has just touched down at Topshop and I love the entire collection! Gorgeous shades and beautiful packaging, I love the cream blusher duo too. While stocks last if you buy two items from the Louise Gray Collection you get a free compact mirror so get shopping!

Topshop Helium Sandals - I've seen these countless times when I've been in Topshop recently and have always been tempted but now my holiday is drawing closer and I still don't have any black sandals the need is even greater. And they're only £10 how perfect!

Topshop Studded Holdall - My faithful H&M bag is starting to look a bit tatty so I'm on the hunt for some new arm candy. This bag is perfect for most of the items currently in my wardrobe and I love the triangle design!

Paul & Joe Cat Collection Blusher Stick - Okay I will admit the main reason I want this is because of the cute cat detail but I really love the idea of a blusher stick! My makeup bag is crammed full and my 2 fail safe blushers (Natural Collection in Peach Melba and Topshop Cream Blush in Head Over Heels) take up quite a bit of space so to have a blusher stick would take up far less space! I do think I'd be too scared to use it though, the packaging is just too pretty!

ASOS Backless Body - I only own one body, a plain vest one from New Look that I bought a few years ago and don't really wear unless I'm wearing a sheer top, but after coming across ASOS's beauties I really want a new one! This design is so simple but so striking, it would look lovely with the maxi skirt I've included in this post. ASOS have such a wide range of statement bodies that I definatly want to get my hands on. This one is in the sale at £9 now! The only downside is that they don't have my size but I'm watching one on eBay that I can hopefully nab on payday! (Or if anybody knows of any lookalikes send them my way!)

Steve Madden Xcess Wedges - When I took part in the New Look Holiday Hop Blogger Competition (see my entry here!) I discovered my favourite shoe brand, Steve Madden had a concession line at New Look Online. I love these wedges, they are quite basic but would look great on so many occasions. Need them in my life!

Coco's Fourtune @ Topshop Ombre Maxi Skirt - I have a love hate relationship with maxi skirts. I absoulutley adore how they look on other people but as my hips are the widest part of my body they just don't look quite right on me. However I love this skirt so much. It's so tempting to order it just to try on! Who knows it could be the one maxi skirt that suits me!

**edit: i had scheduled this post for last week but somehow it didn't post so it's a late one!**

Life Expects Me To Be Strong

Topshop sequin clutch - JC Lookalikes via Ebay - Miss Selfridge Jumper - River Island Wedges - Topshop Shorts - Topshop Nail Varnish in Firework - Topshop Nail Varnish in New Wave

Just a quick wishlist today. This is such a depressing post to make after checking my bank balance this morning! I'm giving up on the idea of a summer this wear and am already keeping my eye out for winter pieces! River Island always have the best boots on the high street and I love these cute wedges. Definatly keeping my eyes peeled for them in store!

I have a few ebay bits ending tonight! Check them out! Username: trixiexo

Fabulous At Bank Dress, Warehouse DressLipsy Skirt, Michael Kors Large Hamilton Tote, Katy Perry Oh My Lashes, Bourjois Smart Nail Polish Remover

I actually just bought this mint lace dress and I love it so much. It's such a flattering shape and length. Outfit post on that to come soon :)
It's my 21st in January (I know its really really early to start looking at presents now but a girl can dream!) and I'd really love a 'proper' handbag, something classic that will go with everything, something well made that I can keep for years, and so far this is a strong contender. I really like the chain detail and the size, as I tend to lug everything bar the kitchen sink around with me!
I really want to try these lashes after seeing Emma's post here about them. I've always been a little scared by the really full lashes like these but after seeing what they actually look like on they're exactly the kind of look I like for a night out.
Of course the new Bourjois Nail Polish Remover has made it onto my wishlist too. I work as a Healthcare Assistant and can't wear nail varnish for work so this is something nice and practical I can leave in my bag for just in case I get caught out. The packaging is so cute too!

Graduation.

O.P.I Nail Laquer in 'My address is Hollywood', MAC Studio Fix Fluid, Real Techniques Stippling Brush, Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Androgen

Just a quick beauty wishlist as I've not posted in a week. I've had a bad throat infection and have spent my days in bed! I'm feeling much better now though.

I feel its time for me to graduate into the world of 'proper' beauty brands rather than drugstore brands like Mabelline, Rimmel etc. I love the highstreet and will always be a high street girl but I've not yet found a fail proof foundation, something I feel I desparately need right now as I am prone to breakouts and feel my skin holds me back and dents my confidence.

I've heard good things about MAC Studio Fix Fluid an am planning on going to get a sample next time I'm in Leicester. My skin had always been quite clear throughout my teens but I've been developing some acne around my mouth and neck over the past year or so. I have combination skin so if anybody reading this can think of a better foundation for my skin please let me know in the comments.

This stippling brush is all over the blogosphere right now and after checking it out in Boots earlier today I need it in my life. I currently use the Topshop foundation brush which I like, but this one just seems much nicer and I love the idea that you can use it with blush/bronzer etc too, it would save me carrying around 4 or 5 brushes at a time like I normally do.

I have a few goodies coming in the post soon so I will try to post about those asap and I may start doing a few outfit posts, so keep checking back. :)

And yes my heart is broken

Just a small wishlist this time, I have so much going on in my 'real world' at the moment but I don't like to neglect the blog. I can't wait until summer so that I can wear things like these wedges and shorts every day. This is so unlike me as I'm normally dreading the thought of having to show some skin!

This week is Eating Disorder Awareness Week, something very close to my heart. This years theme is breaking the silence, so anybody reading this wanting to break their own silence or anybody who is worried about a friend or family member, please check out B-Eat. These guys save lives every day and get little recognition.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas has been so busy in my house, so I've not had any time to blog, with the last minute rushing around stresses, family time and daily food babies. This year was lovely for me and my family, lots of food, country walks, copious amounts of alcohol, Downtown Abbey box sets and endless board games. Santa was kind and bought me a few nice treats, and I've also bought myself a lot of pressies too! I will be featuring some of my gifts in future posts, there are a few reviews coming up and a lot of fashion posts so keep your eyes peeled!
Thought I would do a little wishlist as it's now 1.14am and I really need to get to bed! It's my birthday on the 5th January so these are a few ideas for my family and friends, I find it so hard to decide what I want though as a lot of things I can buy myself, but wishlists are a good way for me to decide what I want to do with my money as I'm a persistant impulse-buyer. I've had so many people tell me I would love Morroccan Oil so I'm keen to try it out. I was offered a free bottle of this at my old job last year as we had some freebies and I stupidly declined not realising how big Morroccan Oil would become! Dohhh D: The clutch I saw in Bank the day after boxing day and fell in love with. I have so many ideas for outfits I could team it with and it's a complete bargain at just £25! The sweatpants I have actually just ordered over at Jack Wills as I was scared they would sell out, they've just gone in the sale! I don't really have any 'loungewear' and these look perfect for travelling, though theyre not what I would usually go for, but I am trying to be practical with my spending this year! I do love Topshop make-up and have noticed these gorgeous colours in their nail range which I need in my life! The 2 middle shades are my favourite and will probably be purchased in the next week or so if I can make it into the city. The Enrapture styler looks amazing after reading Emmas review, I really like the idea of being able to alter the heat settings in each section of the tong.

How was everybody's Christmas? What treats did Santa bring you? How did you celebrate the day?
